Snow capped mountains (day 4)

Hi there!

Happy Fridayeve!  Yes, I know I’m not working yet so why be excited?  Well, I love Friday’s at home with my hubby.  Usually on the couch with the dogs and watching a movie which is one of my favorite places.

I went to Body Pump this morning then did 2 miles of HIIT on the treadmill.  I have this awesome 20 minute workout that I do which makes the time fly by.  After coming home, showering and making lunch the dogs and I went for a walk.

Day 4

Workout – Lower Fix Extreme was on the schedule but I did a 1 hour Body Pump class instead

Lunch– Shrimp and broccoli leftovers (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green)

Dinner -Asian pork spinach salad (1 red, 2 green, 1 orange)

Getting motivation back (day 1)

Hi there!

How was your Monday?  Monday’s have not been good for me, lately.  My motivation has been, well, MIA but that all changed today with some planning yesterday.

I planned our meals for the week, planned my workouts, joined a new challenge group and got myself all ready for…..21 Day Fix Extreme! Jump over to my new Coaching page for more information about Beachbody but I am also going to recap my meals and workouts for the next 21 Days.  I had “sorta” started last Monday and was pretty good with my workouts but my diet was not great.  I eat healthy but I have to kick my sweet tooth because I know that is what is holding me back on my toning up fitness goals.

I joined another challenge group (more on that in a few) so that I could be a better participant and find motivation to tone up before the holidays weigh me down.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with a treat here or there especially with the holidays but I want to make better choices using Shakeology shakes to curb my sweet tooth.  I plan to try lots of recipes for my shakes because let’s face it a basic shake can be a little boring, ’emm I right?!?!?

So how did I kick off Monday on the right foot?  Well, I planned everything out on Sunday to be prepared for the day.

Okay here it goes!

Day 1

Workout – Plyo Fix Extreme

Breakfast – Banana and Peanut Butter Oatmeal (1 purple, 1 yellow, 1 tsp)

Lunch – Apple Pie with Shakeology Vanilla (1 purple, 1 red)

Dinner – Salmon, green beans, mashed potatoes (1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow)

I had dinner at my friends house and see cooked a wonderful meal as mentioned above.  Unfortunately I did not get a picture and we also had 2 pieces of chocolate afterwords which I will use as my blue container for “fats.”

At first the cups seem really small but it helped to plan my whole day ahead of time to make sure I was using them correctly and then portioned things out which is the first picture in each group.  The second picture is of course after I prepared the meal and it makes for a filling meal but also helped me stay very aware of where little things can creep into my daily eating and how to avoid it.

So I mentioned joining a Challenge Group earlier and it’s a private facebook group where we post recipes, check-in after a workout, get motivation, ask questions and meet other people going through the same process.  It has been fun meeting others “online” all over the country who work full-time, have kiddos, are motivation challenged or just people who will just help keep me accountable.  I mean, posting that I got my workout done and getting ideas for 21 Day Fix approved recipes is awesome!
