Treadmill Tuesday 2/25 and it was bound to happen…..

Hi there!

So yesterday morning I missed my workout, it was bound to happen with my work schedule getting crazy as it is.  I just could not get up early enough.  It didn’t help that I woke up with a pounding headache and all I could think about was all the work I had to do today.  It was just one of those mornings so instead of getting  annoyed at myself and thought it’s okay I must have really needed that sleep and rest.  I already need to switch my schedule around a bit since Friday body pump classes have been canceled so I can make it up then.

Simple breakfast of yogurt and blueberries.  yogurt - USE

Salad topped with blueberries and a packet of salmon.  Sorry no picture forgot to take it.

Lots of water today because I am not sure if I am getting a cold so I wanted to stay hydrated!  water - USE

A surprise Starbucks latte from Steve late this afternoon.  Loved it!  lattee - USE

Dinner was a simple salad with salmon from Atlanta Bread ordered through work.  I love salmon and order it whenever it’s on the menu.  salmon - USE

Baby it’s cold outside!!

Hey there!

So last night I was feeling pretty tired after work so I decided to just take the dogs for a walk after dinner.  It was a short quick walk because it was cold!  The temperature sure has dropped here but so has just about everywhere else except for Florida (tell me again why I live in Illinois?).

On my lunch break yesterday I prepared a pork tenderloin in the Crockpot to cook through the afternoon.  It was a Pineapple Pork Tenderloin recipe.  Have you checked out her blog before?  You should if you have not already!  I get most of my Crockpot recipes (or some version of it) from her blog.  I love cooking with the Crockpot especially during the cold winter months.  I remembered last night as I was getting ready for bed that I didn’t take a picture to share with you.  Sorry!  I am still trying to get used to taking pictures while cooking or working out to share.  I served the pork tenderloin with some brown rice and quinoa.  It was a tasty and easy dinner.

This morning I ran 7 miles on the treadmill at an average 9:21 pace which is slower than I wanted but it took me a bit to warm up.  It was soooo cold out this morning!

So glad I have access to a treadmill because there is no way I would be running outside with a -8 windchill.  My run went by quickly and even though I had a slow start I had some good (for me) negative splits.

Work wasn’t too exciting today and it was still very cold and windy at lunch so I didn’t walk the dogs except for a quick potty break, sure hope it warms up a bit soon.  I went to Body Pump class right after work as well.  I was still super tired today so I’m glad I mustered up some energy to go because it was a great class and I love seeing the progress that I’m making.

Well the dogs are snoring away and I think they have the right idea so it’s off to bed for me too.  Have a good night!
